Reproduction of Napoleon Bonaparte's pistol, made of wood and metal with a simulated loading and firing mechanism.
This pistol was made in Saint-Étienne in 1806 by express order of Emperor Napoleon I and bears his emblem on the grip.
Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1815, consolidated and institutionalised many of the reforms of the French Revolution. He is considered one of the greatest military minds in history: the conqueror of much of Europe led hugely successful campaigns, but also suffered equally resounding defeats. His wars of conquest became the largest military operations Europe had seen until then, involving armies of unprecedented size.
Note: inert replicas, freely sold and owned in Italy: they do not fire, make no bang and cannot cause harm.
